How we stand on opposite sides of the same story, pointing fingers like mirrors that refuse to admit they’re reflections. Girls say, “Boys are players, they never come with real intentions.” Boys say, “Girls cheat, they only want money.” Different mouths, same wounds. And when I heard both sides yesterday, I couldn’t help but laugh — not because it’s ridiculous, but because it’s painfully human. We claim to hate each other, yet we keep circling back, again and again, like moths to a flame we swear we’re tired of burning in.

As a girl, yes, I admit it I hate some men. Not all. Just the ones who carry the weight of the world’s ego on their shoulders. The kind who believe their bank account is their personality. The kind who think money can buy loyalty, respect, even love. Men who don’t listen, don’t grow, don’t soften — just spend. And somehow expect that to be enough. But here’s the uncomfortable truth… sometimes, I blame us too. Because we taught them what impresses us. We celebrated flowers, surprise dates, expensive dinners, soft lights and luxury gestures — and slowly, without realizing, we made effort look like expense. We confused intention with investment. We turned love into a receipt. Just because a man can afford roses every week doesn’t mean he knows how to nurture a heart. Just because he pays for dinner doesn’t mean he’ll stay when things get hard. Just because he spoils you doesn’t mean he sees you. Money can create moments….But it can’t create meaning. We started rewarding the surface so they learned to polish it. We applauded the show, so they stopped rehearsing honesty. And now we wonder why depth feels rare. Love was never supposed to be about what someone can buy for you , it was about what they’re willing to be for you. Presence. Consistency. Emotional safety. Growth. The things money can’t touch. What did i sayy??? THE THINGS MONEY CANNOT TOUCH!!!!

So yes, we laugh at how much we complain about each other but beneath the jokes is a quiet ache because we’re all craving the same thing….to be loved sincerely, without performance, without price tags. Maybe we don’t hate each other maybe we’re just tired of being misunderstood, tired of loving wrong, tired of giving our hearts to people who only know how to spend, not stay And still…we keep coming back. I ask myself whyy every time why not stop if we don’t want it? But hope is stubborn i guess and damn that heart loves to hope. Because deep down, we believe someone out there knows the difference between having money and having a heart.
